Jenelle's Journey

Jenelle's Journey

From what I've seen and read of this blog, this looks like a wonderful, heart-warming, and educational place to go when looking for information about epilepsy.

Did you know that November is Epilepsy Awareness Month?

I didn't realize that until reading it here, but I'm definitely aware of this condition having several friends who have dealt with this since childhood, as well as having my dad to have a temporary form of it after having a viral infection of the brain back in 1997 and one of my cousins to have had an "abnormal brainwave" after hitting her head on the dashboard of the family car when she was ten or eleven--though being treated for it stopped it from developing into full-blown epilepsy.

When I was almost 21, I was afraid that I was starting to develop it, but whatever was going on never developed into a full-blown seizure.

I will be discussing this in more detail in a book soon to come out.

Thanks for linking to Jenelle's site! It has grown from emails to family to the blog it is today. Epilepsy can touch your life at any time... I went to a conference recently where they predict the majority of the elderly really are suffering from Epilepsy and not "old age" as some think. Best wishes to you!

The pleasure is mine!

I have other blogs and means of communication and will do what I can to keep her story going--and, even after this moves up the page and out, you can always find it in the attic!

Hugs!
AJ :-)
