I think that my two favorite chain stores are Dollar General and Family Dollar.
You'd be amazed at what you can find in there--and for so little cost!
These stores are large enough to be stocked with a variety of items in different categories yet small enough to easily navigate.
Dollar General also has a campaign going to raise money to help promote literacy.
There's a small donation container at each check-out, but nobody tries to push you to notice it and donate. It's just there. :-)
P.S. I know of a few roads I've like to have repaired instantly!
Indiana has at least its share of potholes.
Locally (in Anderson), our mayor, Kevin Smith, is into a big campaign to get the city streets repaired--something they've needed badly since forever!
